At the Institute for Research in Engineering (INII) is performedn researchones scientifics high-level strategic fields for the University of Costa Rica and the country. The fields in which he works are the following: seismic engineering, wood technology and utilization of forest resources, metrology, engineering, maritime and inland waterway. Its main purpose is to to stimulate the advancement of engineering, architecture, computer science and computer engineering and to contribute to the development of scientific, technological and social of the country and the central american region.
